Fish and Golf Retreat in the Kawartha’s

The cottage is located on the outskirts of Bobcaygeon, on the way to Fenelon Falls. For golf enthusiasts it is situated right on the third tee off of Eganridge golf course, so close that the clubhouse and restaurant are visible from the front step. For the fisherman the cottage is also located on a canal leading to Sturgeon Lake. It is on an area of the lake that is very good for all types of fish, small mouth bass and pickerel in particular. There is a dock on the property to either bring your own boat, or take advantage of many available rental fishing boats. Also, there is a park with a boat launch and pebble beach just down the road, it is a great place for swimming or just sitting by the lake.

In the winter months, the area is very good for cross country skiing and snow shoeing with many local trails within walking distance. Snowmobiling is also a popular pass time, so either bring your own machines, or rent one near by. Also, ice fishing has recently been opened during the winter months in Sturgeon and the surrounding lakes, which has greatly increased the areas winter tourism. As you can see, there is always something to do in Bobcaygeon.

Cottage Features

The cottage has been newly renovated and has a large deck with gazebo, great for relaxing after a day of golfing or fishing. There is also an outdoor rock fireplace for campfires, with stone seating surrounding it. This two bedroom cottage is great for a family of four, with a queen sized bed and a double bed. However, it is capable of sleeping six with the use of a pull-out couch. The cottage includes everything you need to make your stay enjoyable, including a propane BBQ, cable T.V, DVD player, wireless internet, washer and dryer, dishwasher, oven, microwave and much more. Bedding, towels, kitchen utensils are all included, so you can pack light and be assured that everything you need to have a great vacation is here for you.
